Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

Learn the saxophone the way working players actually practice it, from assembling a Yamaha YAS-280 and seating a Vandoren 2.5 reed to playing all 12 major scales and swinging a blues. You will build a tunable embouchure, a supported air column, and the listening habits that separate musicians from button-pushers. By the end you can read a lead sheet, improvise simple lines over a 12-bar blues, and reach into the altissimo register.
