Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

Most beginners learn a few songs by rote, never read fluently, and have no idea how chords actually work, so they stall the moment a teacher or a YouTube tutorial stops feeding them notes. This course teaches piano as a connected system: the physical technique that keeps you injury-free and fast (posture, curved fingers, the rotation and weight that pianists actually use), the map of the keyboard and the logic of major and minor scales, fluent reading of grand-staff notation, and the harmony (triads, sevenths, inversions, voice leading) that lets you play from a chord chart or improvise. By the end you will play pieces in multiple styles, read new music on your own, accompany yourself or a singer from lead-sheet chords, and improvise a simple solo, with a daily practice method you can keep for life.
