Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

Most aspiring novelists stall somewhere between a great idea and a finished book. This course gives you the architecture (Save the Cat beat sheet, the Three-Act and Hero's Journey skeletons), the character tools (want vs. need, the lie the character believes), and a repeatable scene-and-revision system that working novelists use. You finish with a structured draft, a developmental edit plan, and a submission-ready query and synopsis.

Learning Outcomes

What the learner should be able to understand, build, or execute.

01

Architect a full novel using a 15-beat structure mapped to your premise and genre

03

Write scenes on the scene-and-sequel model so every page earns its place

04

05

Run a three-pass revision (developmental, line, copy) on your own draft

06

Write a one-page query letter and synopsis that earns agent manuscript requests
