Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

Freelancers do not fail because they are lazy; they fail because they are running a whole business out of memory, a cluttered inbox, and three half-used apps. This course gives you a personal operating system: a capture-and-organise workflow built on Getting Things Done, a planning layer that turns a backlog into a realistic week using time-blocking and a Most Important Tasks rule, and protected deep-work blocks defended with Cal Newport's rules and a real shutdown ritual. You will work in concrete tools, Todoist or Things for tasks, Google Calendar or Notion Calendar for blocks, and a one-page Notion or spreadsheet dashboard, so every lesson leaves you with a piece of a system you actually use. By the end you can plan a week in fifteen minutes, protect the hours that produce your best work, batch the admin that used to leak across every day, and see your utilisation, pipeline, and cash at a glance.

Module 1

Module 1: Capture and Trust: One System for Everything

A productivity system fails the moment you stop trusting it. This module builds the foundation: getting every commitment out of your head and into a single place, then organising it into projects and next actions you can act on without re-thinking.

Module 2: Planning Rituals: Turning a Backlog Into a Realistic Week

An organised list still does not tell you what to do today. This module adds the planning layer: named weekly and daily rituals, time-blocking on a real calendar, and a rule that protects your few most important tasks from a flood of small ones.

Module 3: Deep Work and Defended Focus

Plans only matter if you can execute them with focus. This module is about the hours that produce your best, most valuable work: how to create the conditions for deep work, defend them from interruption, and batch the shallow admin that would otherwise leak everywhere.
