Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

This course teaches anyone who lives in spreadsheets to replace hand-built summary tables and manual chart edits with PivotTables that summarize thousands of rows in seconds and update themselves. You will format source data as an Excel Table so new rows flow in automatically, drag fields into Rows, Columns, Values, and Filters, change summary functions and Show Values As to get counts, averages, running totals, and percent of total, group dates into months and quarters and numbers into ranges, add calculated fields for margin and average order value, and wire PivotCharts, slicers, and timelines into a dashboard with one Refresh All. Each lesson works from a concrete orders export and explains the gotchas, blanks, GETPIVOTDATA, and refresh traps so your reports stay trustworthy.

Learning Outcomes

What the learner should be able to understand, build, or execute.
