What this course is designed to develop
This course teaches the concrete, transferable craft of working with data in Excel and Google Sheets, treating both tools together so you can switch between them and pick the right one for a job. You will learn to clean and structure data into proper tables, write the formulas that matter in practice (XLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH for lookups, SUMIFS and COUNTIFS for conditional aggregation, IF and IFS for logic, plus Google Sheets-only powers like QUERY, FILTER, and ARRAYFORMULA), and avoid the reference and error mistakes that quietly corrupt results. From there you will summarize and slice large datasets with PivotTables and pivot tables, choose and build charts that match the question being asked, and finally combine named ranges, lookups, pivots, slicers, and conditional formatting into a single interactive dashboard. By the end you can take an unfamiliar spreadsheet of thousands of rows and turn it into a clear answer, in either tool, without guesswork.
