StretchLearn Course

Edit your podcast and video by editing the words, not a waveform

Descript makes a recording editable like a document. Learn to clean a transcript, cut every um in one pass, record your screen, use Studio Sound and Overdub responsibly, and publish a finished episode — with worked examples at every step.

Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

Descript turns your recording into an editable transcript, so deleting a sentence in the text deletes it in the audio and video. This course takes a complete beginner from a raw recording to a published episode: importing or recording, cleaning the transcript, removing filler words and dead air, layering screen recordings and B-roll, applying Studio Sound and Overdub where they genuinely help, and exporting or publishing to a host. Every lesson ends with a concrete worked example and the licensing, consent, and quality facts you need before you ship.

Learning Outcomes

What the learner should be able to understand, build, or execute.
