Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

This course teaches pointed-pen calligraphy the way working calligraphers actually learn it: nib and ink selection, the geometry of the Copperplate slant grid, the muscular Spencerian whole-arm movement, and the thin-up, thick-down pressure that defines the scripts. You drill the basic strokes, build minuscules and majuscules, then apply everything to addressing envelopes and assembling a coordinated invitation suite. By the end you can letter a name on an envelope cleanly and produce a small client-ready set.
