Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

This course teaches non-technical builders to design and deploy custom GPTs using OpenAI's GPT Builder inside ChatGPT, with no programming required. You will write structured instructions, upload and tune knowledge files for retrieval, connect a read-only action through a no-code schema generator, and choose the right sharing and privacy settings for internal or public use. Every lesson ends with a concrete build step and a worked example you can copy.

Learning Outcomes

What the learner should be able to understand, build, or execute.

01

Decide when a custom GPT is the right tool versus a plain ChatGPT chat, a Project, or an automation

02

Write structured GPT instructions using a role, rules, workflow, and refusal pattern that behaves consistently

03

Upload and organize knowledge files so the GPT answers from your documents instead of guessing

04

Add a read-only action by importing or generating an OpenAPI schema with no manual coding

05

Configure conversation starters, capabilities, and privacy settings for a safe, on-brand assistant

06

Test, share, and maintain a custom GPT for a team or customer audience with a versioning and review habit
