Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

This beginner course teaches the modelling half of product visualisation in Blender: how to bring in CAD and SVG references, block out and refine forms with subdivision-surface modelling, and keep topology clean enough to shade and animate. You will UV unwrap with minimal distortion, build flexible procedural shaders that need no texture downloads, and set up a camera-orbit turntable. By the end you can take a product from a flat reference image to a render-ready model, a still frame, and a looping turntable that shows every angle.

Learning Outcomes

What the learner should be able to understand, build, or execute.

01

Import CAD and SVG references and use them as accurate modelling blueprints in Blender

02

Build product forms with subdivision-surface modelling and clean, controllable topology

03

Use edge loops, support loops, and the Bevel and Mirror modifiers to control shape and edges

04

UV unwrap a product with seams placed to minimise stretching and visible joins

05

Create flexible procedural shaders for plastic, metal, glass, and labels without texture files

06

Set up and export a hero still and a looping camera-orbit turntable to web-ready specs
